It all began in 1385 with a linen weavers' tavern. A place of encounter where people could dine and drink together with pleasure. This has not changed until today.
Our historic premises stand for proven quality, which we offer in all respects.
From plate to glass, from wedding to corporate event. The long history of the house and also that of the Zunft zur Waag proves that this very quality lasts a long time.
The team of the Zunfthaus zur Waag is also aware of this and always upholds his quality - with fascination for outstanding gastronomy, the guests are to be inspired in the long term. This is how the history of the Zunfthaus zur Waag is to be continued.
History
Those who are proud of their history cannot tell it in enough detail - and that of our house goes back centuries: Already 1636, the Zunfthaus zur Waag was opened and from then on, meetings and dinners were held in the current rooms.
